Oh! Mr Birdie!
A #ProtestSong to the tune of Oh, Doctor Beeching!, which felt particularly relevant given it’s theme of unpopular closures and the fact it starred Walsall’s very own Jeffrey Holland.
Recorded on my phone and put together on clipchamp (cause broke protester) so not the best quality in the world. Anybody who fancies doing a better version/turning it into a terrace chant in furtherance of the cause has my permission and blessing!
Also – music hall songs are HARD! Seriously, Modern Major General gave me less trouble. That’s just fast.
I know what killed Music Hall – nobody could breathe through the numbers!

Walsall once had five museums and soon there will be none.

Currently debating rewriting the whole of Oh! Mr Porter! to reflect the events of the campaign
